当たりが柔らかく、香りの良い「京都銘木 北山杉」のお箸作りと、型紙を使って絵柄を染める友禅のお箸入れ作りのセットです。 さくっ、さくっと軽快に木を削り出すたびにほのかな香りが辺りに広がります。 そんな空気が流れる京町家の一室でお箸作りに興じてみませんか？
北山杉は、千利休により完成された茶の湯文化を支える茶室や数奇屋の建築用材として頻繁に用いられています。 そんな銘木を削り、香りのよいオリジナルのお箸を作ってみませんか。 小刀で木を削り、豆カンナで形を整え、やすりで削ります。最後にご希望に応じて天然オイルを塗って、お箸のでき上がり！
お箸が出来たら、お箸入れの友禅染です。 麻生地のお箸入れに、型紙と刷毛を使って染料を摺り込んでいきます。

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit beim Essstäbchen Workshop. Die Anleitung war sehr gut, Englisch war kein Problem und es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Sie geben einem die Zeit, die man braucht und stehen immer bei Hilfe zur Seite. Wir empfehlen es sehr!

投稿日： 2024年8月29日We had the best time during this workshop! The staff was so so welcoming and patient with us. The activity was really fun and relaxing. In the end they let us take home the chopsticks and a little bag we decorated with paint to put them in. So kawaii!
投稿日： 2024年8月28日We loved this hands-on workshop to make cedar wood chopsticks. The staff were great, kind, and helpful. They taught us how to shave down the wood, carve the top, and make bespoke chopstick bags with dyed designs. It was charming, and lovely, and would absolutely recommend to others!

We had someone, who was fluent in English (important for some people), explaining every step as we went, while checking on us and giving us help as needed. It is the KyoWorkshop area, so there were other groups of people doing other crafts. We made our own chop sticks while other groups were dying fabric (that looked cool, as well!). A surprise to us at the end is we got to dye a carry bag for our chopsticks!

投稿日： 2023年7月11日My wife, myself and my two sons wanted something different to do while in Kyoto and though this would be an enjoyable and unique experience. Everyone really liked being able to use their hands to make their own chopsticks and to appreciate the work that must go into making really nice sets. The instruction was very helpful and the teachers spoke English. It was a small group -- just the 4 of us and 3 others -- so we felt like we had plenty of attention and assistance. No complaints for this low-key experience (indoors, so good for bad-weather days!)

投稿日： 2023年6月23日雨のシーズンだったので室内で出来る遊びや体験を探してました！ 木を選んで、カンナで削って やすりかけて、、、と 黙々と3時間も滞在してしまいました、、 無心で取り組めたし スタッフさん適度に声かけてくださり すごく良い距離感だったし、みなさん優しかったです！ 作った箸、家にあるのとくらべ軽くて 手作りだった事もあり愛着わいてます！ ここに予約してよかったと思います！ 貴重な体験ありがとうございました！！
